01 Overview
Resonic Studio is a custom mechanical keyboard studio based in Singapore. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you commission a build, browse the site, or place an order, and how we handle it.
We aim to handle personal data in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). We collect only what we need to design, build, and deliver your keyboard, and to run the website.
02 What We Collect
Commission Brief
When you submit a commission brief, we collect the contact details and design notes you provide. This typically includes your name, email address, WhatsApp or contact number, and a written description of the keyboard you want.
Reference Images
If you upload reference images with your brief, those files are stored so we can design from them. Please do not upload images that contain personal or sensitive information you do not want shared as part of the design process.
Order and Checkout Information
When you place an order or pay a deposit, checkout information such as your name, billing and shipping address, contact details, and order contents is processed to fulfil and ship your order. Card and payment details are handled by our payment provider, not stored by us directly.
Analytics
We collect basic, mostly aggregated usage data about how the site is used, such as pages viewed and general device or browser information, to understand traffic and improve the site.
03 Services We Use
We rely on a small set of third-party services to run the studio and the website. Each processes only the data needed for its purpose, under its own privacy terms:
- Shopify — powers checkout and order processing, including payment and shipping details.
- Formspree — receives and forwards the commission brief form so it reaches us by email.
- Supabase — stores reference images uploaded with a commission brief.
- Meta Pixel — measures site activity and supports analytics and marketing, subject to your cookie consent.
- Vercel — hosts the website and provides basic, privacy-friendly web analytics and server infrastructure.
These providers may process data outside Singapore. We share data with them only to operate the studio and the site, not to sell it.
04 Cookies and Consent
The site uses cookies and similar storage for two purposes: keeping the site working (for example, your cart and your cookie choice) and analytics or marketing measurement.
When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline analytics and marketing cookies. Analytics and marketing tools such as the Meta Pixel run only after you accept. Your choice is stored in your browser so we do not ask again on every visit. To change it, clear the site's storage in your browser and reload the page.
05 How We Use Your Data
We use the data we collect to:
- Respond to your commission brief and discuss your design
- Prepare renders, quotes, and order details
- Process payments, build, and ship your order
- Send order-related updates and notices
- Understand site traffic and improve the website
We do not sell your personal data.
06 Data Retention
We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as required to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
- Commission and order records are kept while your project is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for warranty, records, and accounting.
- Reference images are kept for the duration of the project and may be removed once it is complete, unless we need them for a portfolio use you have agreed to.
- Analytics data is generally retained in aggregated or limited-detail form.
You can ask us to delete contact details or reference images we no longer need, subject to records we are required to retain.
07 Your Choices
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to stop using it for a particular purpose. You can also accept or decline analytics and marketing cookies at any time using the cookie banner choice described above.
