01 General
By placing an order or using our services at Resonic Studio, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. These terms form a binding agreement between you and Resonic Studio.
02 Payment Structure and Render Policy
All products are custom made based on your selected specifications.
Design Deposit
A 50 percent deposit is required before any consultation, design, or rendering work begins.
Non-Refundable Render Work
Once design and rendering work starts, the deposit is strictly non-refundable. This covers time, labour, and creative work already performed, including the creation and delivery of a custom render unique to your order.
Render Delivery
A digital render of your custom keyboard design will be provided for review. The render is provided for approval purposes only. All renders remain the intellectual property of Resonic Studio as detailed in Section 7. Delivery of the render confirms completion of the design stage.
Render Revisions
Each order includes up to 2 render revisions. A revision refers to changes within the same theme, concept, and design direction.
Additional Renders
Each render after the first 2 revisions is charged at S$30 per render. Payment is required before any additional render work begins. Payment for additional renders is non-refundable once work begins, even if you choose not to proceed with remaining renders.
Theme Scope
Revisions apply only to the same theme or concept.
- Same theme examples include: color palette changes, keycap legend style modifications, case finish adjustments, accent color refinements, or layout variations.
- Same theme does NOT include: changing the core character, franchise, genre, aesthetic direction, or fundamental design concept.
New Theme or Concept
A request to change to a new theme is treated as scrapping the previous design.
- New theme examples include: changing from a game theme to a movie theme, changing from one character to another character, switching from anime to music, or any fundamentally different design direction.
Forfeiture of Previous Design
When a new theme is requested:
- All previous renders and concepts are forfeited.
- Previous design work is considered completed and non-transferable.
- The same deposit, render, and revision structure applies again to the new theme.
- Unused render revisions do not carry over.
Final Payment
The remaining 50 percent balance is due after render approval and before production begins. No parts will be ordered and no build work will start until full payment is received.
Specification Changes
Changes to specifications after quotation may result in price adjustments. Specification changes must be confirmed in writing via WhatsApp or email. Price adjustments will be communicated and confirmed before implementation.
No Cancellations & Final Sale
Orders cannot be cancelled once rendering work has started. All completed and delivered products are final sale.
03 Warranty and Defects
A 90-day limited warranty applies to manufacturing defects from the date of delivery or collection.
Manufacturing Defects
Covered defects include: non-functional switches, PCB failure, assembly faults, or component failure under normal use.
Normal use includes: standard typing, competitive gaming, programming, and general computing activities.
Excluded items include: cosmetic preference, normal wear and tear, compatibility issues with your equipment, damage caused by misuse, industrial applications, or use beyond manufacturer component ratings.
Initial Inspection
Functional issues should be reported within 7 days of receipt with photo or video evidence for priority handling.
Warranty Claims
Warranty service requires return of the product at your expense for inspection. Written confirmation will be issued if a manufacturing defect is verified.
Repairs and Replacements
Repair or replacement depends on part availability.
- If an exact component is unavailable, a repair or equivalent alternative of equal or higher market value will be offered, subject to your approval.
- If you reject the offered alternative, we will issue a pro-rata refund for the affected component only.
Warranty Void
Warranty is void if damage results from: liquid exposure, physical impact, unauthorized disassembly, third-party modification, or firmware misuse.
Firmware misuse includes: flashing incompatible firmware, attempting to circumvent designed limitations, or causing PCB damage through improper flashing procedures. Using standard tools like QMK or VIA according to manufacturer guidelines does not void warranty.
Final Determination
Resonic Studio' determination of what constitutes a manufacturing defect is final.
04 Deposits and Forfeiture
The initial deposit covers design consultation, administrative handling, and rendering work.
Deposit forfeiture applies if:
- You cancel after rendering has started.
- You fail to respond to our communications for more than 14 days.
- You fail to complete the remaining payment within 14 days after render approval.
05 Collection and Storage
Completion notice will be sent via WhatsApp Business to the contact number you provided. Screenshots of message delivery status will be retained as proof of notification. It is your responsibility to maintain an active WhatsApp account with correct contact details.
Collection Window
Orders must be collected within 30 days of notification.
Storage Fees
Uncollected orders incur a storage fee of S$5 per day starting from day 31. Storage fees are capped at the total order value. Unpaid storage fees may be pursued through debt collection or legal action. Abandonment of your order does not cancel your debt obligation.
Uncollected Orders
After 60 days of non-collection, a final written notice will be sent to your last known email address and WhatsApp contact. Failure to receive this notice due to incorrect or outdated contact details does not extend the collection deadline.
After 90 days of non-collection, Resonic Studio reserves the right to sell or dispose of the item to recover costs. No refunds apply to forfeited items, and you remain liable for any outstanding storage fees.
Collection Requirements
Orders must be collected in full. Partial collection is not permitted.
06 Shipping and Courier Liability
Courier delivery includes shipment insurance arranged and paid for by Resonic Studio.
Risk Transfer
Risk of loss or damage transfers to the courier once the item is handed over for delivery.
Insurance Coverage
Resonic Studio is the beneficiary of the shipping insurance policy.
- In the event of loss or damage during transit verified by the courier, Resonic Studio will determine the appropriate remedy, which may include replacement of the keyboard or partial refund, at our sole discretion.
- If an insurance claim is denied due to inadequate packaging, excluded circumstances, or any reason beyond our control, you are not entitled to a refund or replacement.
Courier Issues
Loss, damage, or delay during transit is subject to courier terms and insurance coverage. Resonic Studio will provide reasonable assistance with documentation required for courier claims, including proof of shipment and declared value. Filing and pursuing claims with the courier remains your responsibility if you wish to supplement our insurance coverage.
Customer Liability
We are not responsible for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages resulting from shipping delays or issues with courier services.
07 Media and Intellectual Property
All renders, designs, photos, and media created remain the intellectual property of Resonic Studio.
Usage Rights
Customers receive a limited personal, non-commercial right to use images of their finished keyboard for personal social media or non-commercial display purposes only.
Restrictions
Designs and renders must not be:
- Reproduced or replicated by third parties
- Shared with other keyboard vendors or builders
- Used for commercial purposes or resale listings
- Reverse-engineered or copied without written consent from Resonic Studio
Social Media Attribution
Customers who share images of their keyboard on social media should tag @resoniccustoms or provide attribution when requested.
Portfolio Rights
Resonic Studio retains the right to display completed works for portfolio, marketing, social media, and promotional purposes.
08 Customer Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate specifications, measurements, and design preferences
- Maintaining current and correct contact details (WhatsApp, email, collection address)
- Responding to communications within reasonable timeframes
- Collecting your order within the specified window
Communication Response Times
Failure to respond to our requests for information, design approval, payment, or collection arrangements within 14 days may result in order termination and deposit forfeiture.
Product Complexity
Custom mechanical keyboards are complex assemblies involving electronic components, mechanical switches, stabilizers, and firmware. Some learning curve, adjustment period, or minor tuning (such as stabilizer break-in or switch lubrication settling) is normal and does not constitute a defect.
09 Pricing and Component Availability
Price Adjustments
Prices are based on current component costs at the time of quotation. Price adjustments apply only if:
- Supplier costs increase between quotation and final payment
- You request specification changes after the initial quotation
- Component substitutions require higher-cost alternatives
Cost changes relate only to the affected components, not the entire order value.
Force Majeure
Delays or inability to fulfill orders caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control do not constitute breach of contract. This includes: supplier discontinuations, component shortages, shipping disruptions, natural disasters, pandemics, or government restrictions.
10 Changes to Terms
Resonic Studio reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Updated terms apply only to new orders placed after the modification date. Existing orders remain governed by the terms agreed upon at the time of deposit payment.
11 Communication Channels
Primary communication is via WhatsApp Business. Email (resonicstudio@resonic.store) is monitored for formal notices and documentation.
Messages sent to other platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.) are not monitored for order-related communications and do not constitute official communication. All official communications, approvals, and notices must be conducted through WhatsApp Business or email.
12 Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes arising from these terms or your order fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of Singapore courts.
